Just curious...
Has anyone sought help from a Marriage Family Therapist or other mental health professional during the hardship of TTC? Please feel free to share. Sometimes I feel like the hubby and I can use the help to assist us in dealing.
Heck yes!! Between our IVF1 and FET we found an therapist that specialized in IF. She had been through it in the past and helped us a lot. She really helped open up some communication lines and helped us see how and why we each reacted to IF differently. I can say it helped us and I am glad we did it. We didn't go in on a regular, but more when things were getting more stressful and especially before a treatment cycle. It's worth a try!
thanks for the feedback! i'm going to look into it for sure...man, TTC is not cheap ;) we definitely need to stay sane and stress free as much as possible though...*sigh*
I havent been to one yet but really thought about it after our loss from IVF #2. I have heard lots of great things from those who have sought out help from a therapist during these crazy IF times. Let me know if you end up finding a good one in our area!
Also you want me to send you some info from the Orange County doctors I have been to? Currently I am just starting a cycle with Dr. Anderson at Southern California Center for Reproductive Medicine. He is located in Newport. Previously I did two cycles at Huntington Reproductive Center with Dr. Coffler. Send me an email at thisblondiewantsbabies@gmail.com if you want any further information about my experiences with these RE's. :)
Thanks Denise! I'll definitely email you. Right now, I'm still working with my ob/gyn. I have my hysterosalpingogram scheduled and she discussed trying clomid for a few cycles. That's all they can help me with. If all is unsuccessful, I would like to get more info from you. I don't know many people going through this. The closest is a husband's co-worker and I think she went out towards Pasadena area. Well, I am really thankful for the support and info!!! :)
We didn't but I wish we had! hahahah I think it's a great idea.
